Trimming the Tree, Literally

So today I found Claire, scissors in hand, literally trimming the Christmas tree.  I simply told her I didn't think that was a good idea, to which she responded: "When I'm done, then I'll be done, but I'm not done yet." How's a mother supposed to argue with that?
