Another Summer, Another session of Camp Cousin!
Our kids look forward to this all year round, so when our families realized our summer schedules were filling quickly, with few time slots that worked well for both of us, we pulled off an impromptu Camp Cousin. We'll make it happen!
Two Camp Essentials: Food and Crafts
Since Ranger Joe was away fighting forest fires from 9:00-5:00, we had an exciting addition to our staff. Grandma Ha-Lou was recruited from a camp out west and served Camp Cousin well.
DAY ONE
Camp began with a nature scavenger hunt through Provin Trails.
Got everything checked off our list!
After getting home from our hike, it felt good to cool down just a bit.
A little water for the pool, a little water for herself.
Andrew sure kept us entertained during dinner with his silly expressions.
After dinner, the kids wrangled up their scooters
for a quick ride to our neighbor's pool.
He's been so kind to open it to us whenever we like,
which made for some very happy campers.
After an evening at the pool, the campers wanted to do
their first craft: decorate water bottles.
Once the sun set, we ventured outside for fun with
the swing, sparklers, and catching fireflies.
After an active afternoon, the kids were ready to unwind with a bedtime story.
Time to hit the hay.
DAY TWO
Our second day began with our 2nd Annual Park Relay.
15 minutes at each park. All the fun you can have before moving onto the next.
The rest of our afternoon was spent doing crafts,
playing with legos, and just enjoying each other's company.
We closed out camp with a dinner for the campers and their families.
We are already looking forward to next year, especially if we
add Camper Ruby to the mix!
