Well, it's been awhile since I've last visited our blog. And that's being generous. But I'm gonna try to do what I call the "Quarantine Catch Up". Let's be real though. Joe and I are working from home while homeschooling three kids and managing one extremely high maintance toddler. So even though we are quarantined, there's really not much down time. Small goals and realistic expectations are essential. So we go for long walks. I'm actually reading a grown up book. And I've tackled a couple small organizing projects. I cleaned out my office supplies cabinet. That was fun. I organized my basement pantry area. Also satisfying. And I've been ticking away at a yearlong (+) picture project. Let's just say that once Claire turned one, I stopped any sort of family album. Sorry boys. But you know, life gets busy. So last summer I began the tedious task of sorting through all our random pictures, both electronic and physical copies. Oh man, this could take me into retirement! But now I am literally trapped at home with my picture project staring me in the face every day, which has turned out to be great motivation.
One of the aspects of catching up on my pictures is to update the blog. I'm not really sure why I even care. It's really just for our family, but it is kind of a fun way to watch our family grow over the years. And I suppose it is a small creative outlet for me. And at the end of the day, I just can't give up on something that I began so many years into. So here we go. Back at it. I believe I had left off on our summer fun of 2019. Wow, that seems like a lifetime ago. Just look at all those social gatherings! What was that even like?!

The three big kids completed their Summer Service Projects for church.
They each received $10 to invest in Kingdom Building work.
George helped prepare dinner for "Beppa", "Papa", Minerva and Bernie. Papa picks George up from school every day and drops him off at home. These two have a fun relationship, so George was eager to do something nice for him. He said that Papa likes hot dogs, so a hot dog dinner it was!
Henry planned and helped prepare dinner for neighbors Mr. K. and Mitch. He did a great job making and delivering invitations, and then preparing the hamburgers for dinner.
Claire sold baked goods to raise money for CARE Africa. Her goal was to raise enough money to send one girl to school for a year. She met her goal...and then some!
